Ex-convict and cartoonist Jack Deebs (Gabriel Byrne) is pulled into his own 'Cool World' comic in this part-cartoon, part live-action feature. His biggest problem is his sexy cartoon creation `Holli Wood' (Kim Basinger), who desperately wants to become human. She can achieve this by having sex with a human man - and Holli is hard to resist.
