The BTR Hydration Bladder – The Perfect Hydration Backpack Solution

The BTR Hydration Bladder – The Perfect Hydration Backpack Solution

BTR Hydration Bladder is Compatible With Almost Any Hydration Backpack

When you’re out on a long cycle ride, hike or run, or when you’re slogging through a marathon gym session, it’s essential that you stay hydrated, whatever the weather.

Staying hydrated combats the fluid lost through sweating, helps to stave off fatigue, prolongs performance endurance and helps you to recover faster from exercise. Not for nothing do professional athletes and sports teams take the issue of hydration very seriously.

Nothing spoils a ride more than having to stop every so often to rummage around for a water bottle every time you need to drink. This is why we are so excited about the BTR Hydration Bladder. This superb and easy to use piece of kit provides the perfect hands-free way to stay hydrated, whatever activity you’re undertaking.

How to Use Your Hydration Bladder

The equipment comprises a very useful 2 litre water bladder plus a fully detachable 100cm hose with detachable bite valve and on/off switch. All the pieces just push together easily for a secure fit and the bladder rolls up for easy storage when empty. The Hydration Pack has a universal fitting so will fit most backpacks. Reassuringly, the equipment is BPA and BPS free.

The water bladder itself comes with a wide fill opening, which makes it extremely simple to fill up without any spillage and also makes cleaning the inside of the bladder much easier, ensuring that you can get into all the edges and corners.  The mouthpiece consists of the soft, blue bite valve and a yellow lever which is the on/off switch. If you find that the bite valve is sealed, you may have to enhance the opening a little using either your nail or a sharp knife. Using it couldn’t be simpler. Make sure the switch is set to ‘ON’ before you set off then all you have to do is gently bite the valve in order to drink from it.

Keep it Clean

One of the most common questions we get asked is how to clean the Hydration Pack. We recommend that you clean it before first use and then after every subsequent use.

Straight out of the packaging you’ll notice that the bite valve, or mouthpiece part is covered in protective wrapping. Make sure you cut this off very carefully with scissors before giving the whole thing a thorough clean with warm, soapy water. Then add 2 teaspoons of lemon juice and 2 teaspoons of bicarbonate of soda and give it a good shake to distribute the contents evenly and leave it for about half an hour. After this time is up give it another good shake then rinse the water bladder out thoroughly several times. This will ensure there’s no unpleasant after-taste. Always make sure the equipment is completely dry before storing it away.

The equipment is perfectly leak-proof and providing you have followed our recommendations for initial cleaning you should find that there are no nasty chemical or plastic tastes to your drinking water, allowing you to get that hit of hydration when you need it, without having to stop what you’re doing to get it.
